Two hotels in South Africa, one in Mexico, and one in the U.K. recently received recognition for their commitment to exemplary guest service.

The Devon Valley Hotel (Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa) was named an Expedia Insiders' Select™ hotel and is one of Expedia's top-ranked properties for 2010. The Expedia Insiders' Select list is an annual award recognizing the best hotels available in Expedia's global marketplace, as judged by the experiences of Expedia's customers. Only a small percentage of the top-ranked hotels earn a place on the Insiders' Select list, based on more than one million hotel reviews submitted by travelers. The Devon Valley Hotel was identified as consistently delivering superior services, an exceptional guest experience, and notable value. The hotel also won Best of Wine Tourism 2010 – 'Accommodation Category" by Global Wine Capital earlier this year.

Another South African hotel, Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa (Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa) took a top award at INDABA 2010, winning AA Travel Guides American Express Accommodation 'Best Luxury Hotel for 2010". Held at Durban City Hall, INDABA is the major annual exhibition and showcase for Southern African tourism. The AA Travel Guides American Express Accommodation Awards are granted based on consumer review about the quality of accommodations in South Africa, done through a well-established and respected evaluation process covering over 34 different types of guesthouses and hotels, game lodges, self-catering resorts, and lodges.

Las Brisas Huatulco (Huatulco, Mexico) has enjoyed attention brought by TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice 2010 Awards, which ranked Huatulco among the best Sun & Beach destinations in the world. With nine bays and 36 beaches, Huatulco is a popular tropical destination. Las Brisas Huatulco is located on four exclusive white sand beaches, as well as its own coral reef.

Finally, as part of the Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company, Lancaster London (London, England, U.K.)was awarded the Carbon Trust Standard after taking action on climate change by measuring, managing, and reducing its carbon emissions by 2.4% from November 2006 through October 2009. The Carbon Trust Standard is the world's first award to recognize organizations for demonstrated carbon reduction.
